Known for its use of integrative workouts that unite the Pilates method and modern exercise training principles, BODYBAR Pilates, announced today that it has signed an agreement to raise the bar in Osprey and Venice with the new pilates studio in Osprey opening later this year at 1258 S Tamiami Trail.
The Reformer Pilates studio concept that has become a health and wellness hit in the Dallas Fort Worth area is now elongating that enthusiasm into Sarasota County. Blending its focus on strength, toning and modern movement with a warm, welcoming, spa-like environment, BODYBAR creates a Pilates studio experience unlike any other. It is all centred on fostering a destination where a community of members can come together daily to maintain a sound mind, body and spirit.
In a statement Kristina Gagliardi-Wilson, owner and instructor of the BODYBAR Pilates studios in Venice and Osprey said, “I chose to open my own studio because Pilates studio changed my life, my body and my mind. Since I started taking Pilates studio classes a few years ago, my injuries have infinitely improved and I am stronger than I have ever been. When I started looking for franchise opportunities, I knew I wanted something with a strong support system that also offered integrative workouts and modern equipment. BODYBAR more than fit the description. I am excited to join the team and make a difference in my community. Pilates changed my life and with BODYBAR, I plan to change the world!”
Gaglardi-Wilson brings a diverse background to the BODYBAR family. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a double Master’s in Education, Gagliardi-Wilson previously worked as a professor, and a ballet teacher and held several positions in retail management. Her background in retail is what laid the foundation for her other business venture, Poofy Organics, a USDA Certified skincare and wellness brand. With her passion for Pilates and experience as an entrepreneur, Gagliardi-Wilson will handle the day-to-day operations of her BODYBAR Pilates studios.
The new BODYBAR locations will be the first in Venice and Osprey. Using core Pilates principles, each 40 to 50-minute BODYBAR Pilates class is designed to provide a full-body workout that is high-intensity, low-impact and perfect for increasing flexibility, muscle strength, posture and boosting overall health. Whether a member is a 70-year-old wellness guru or a 25-year-old who is just getting started, the BODYBAR workout can be customized to meet everyone’s personal fitness goals.
“BODYBAR is a fitness concept that values community at its core and our franchisees play a pivotal role in fostering that community,” said Matt McCollum, CEO of BODYBAR Pilates.
“Kristina exemplifies those values and has the mindset to ignite the Transform Your Body, Transform Your Life movements in Sarasota County. We look forward to supporting her success in the new community,” he added.
From single-use equipment that is disinfected between each workout, to appropriate spacing of the reformers and ample time between classes, BODYBAR’s steadfast commitment to the safety of its members and employees remains top priority.
BODYBAR instructors are encouraged to use creativity in their delivery to ensure members experience classes that vary in routine and intensity. And, with 14 reformers in each studio, instructors have ample time to interact with the class and provide members with a personalized experience, while providing franchisees the highest earning potential per class among all Pilates studio franchises.
