Lenovo presented their latest wearable called EGO last week. The Chinese tech giant is aiming to expand in digital fitness tools market. Xiaomi and Honor are currently considered as captains in this domain.

Lenovo is known for their quick adaptation of newest technology. In spite of that, they have been backbenchers in the smartwatch market. EGO is a venture to penetrate into the sector. It offers pretty much what all the smart wearables offer. It tracks steps, kilometers, calories and sleep. It also offers sleep monitoring and heart-rate monitoring. The water-resistant outer body may look bulky but weighs only 20 gm.

For best results, users have to download the Lenovo’s life App. After syncing the app with the phone, customers will receive vibration-based notification regarding their fitness data. Some of the critics said, the syncing takes time and the process is a bit tedious. But EGO received a lot of positive repose because of its impressive battery life.

EGO will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Croma Outlets. The smartwatch is priced at Rs. 1999. Rakesh Krishnan, the Director of Electronics at Flipkart said, “At Flipkart, we strive to bring our customers the trendiest, the best and most affordable technology. With Indians becoming increasingly health and fitness conscious, we know they will love the EGO smartwatch from Lenovo, which comes with top-of-the-line features, like the heart-rate monitor, excellent battery life, vibrating notifications. We are excited to foray into the smartwatch category with Lenovo a brand trusted and renowned world over.”
