miha bodytec USA announced that private golf clubs in Georgia and Virginia have become the newest users of the complete, time-efficient Whole-Body Electronic Muscle Stimulation (WB-EMS) workout to help club members improve their performance from the first tee to the final putt.

Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, Va., and Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta added the FDA-approved miha bodytec II WB-EMS training device to their clubhouses for member use.

“These clubs, like others, are capitalizing on the demonstrated results seen by golfers that have unlocked immediate increases in their performance and fitness level,” said mia bodytec USA chief executive Brian Dillman. “For golfers, this is a solution to stay in shape, first and foremost. But it’s a way to stay in shape and help your golf game in the process.”

The Director of Instruction at Belle Haven Country Club, Chad Moseley, who participated in purchasing the system for the club, is using whole-body EMS training to get back to playing well on the pro tour after injury.

“For someone who still competes at the sectional and national levels,” Moseley said, “I was at a disadvantage with injuries over the past dozen years. This training system has allowed me to get back to the level of fitness I needed to play at the level I want to.”

Full-service country clubs also see the benefits of WB-EMS. Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., for example, incorporated the miha bodytec II as a new fitness offering. Luis Bracamonte, Ocean Reef’s Director of Fitness and Wellness, sees commercial WB-EMS training devices as a way to meet the needs of members “looking at technology and other aspects of fitness that are new and exciting.”

Miha bodytec has done extensive trials with players and coaches, including Titlist Performance Institute teaching professionals, who saw immediate success on the golf course after WB-EMS training. Golfers found that a weekly, 20-minute session using the miha bodytec WB-EMS trainer can substantially:

  • Build Dynamic Strength
  • Increase Club Head Speed
  • Improve Shot Accuracy and Distance
  • Develop Core and Back Stability
  • Reduce on-Course Fatigue

At the highest levels, EMS training can help increase ball speed and overall performance, while amateurs see the training system as an efficient way to prevent injury, stay in shape, and train during the offseason.

Whole body EMS training sessions with miha bodytec before or after rounds of golf proved to be beneficial as a warm up protocol as well as helped players of all levels develop symmetrical strength and stability and increase swing speed and shot distance. miha bodytec is a scientifically proven whole body training solution and is FDA cleared for exercise, prescriptive and non-prescriptive medical use and for sports rehabilitation.

A recent study by the Mayo Clinic demonstrated the effectiveness of Whole-Body Electronic Muscle Stimulation (WB-EMS) for improving health in individuals. The study also recognizes WB-EMS as an accepted form of overall wellness, pre-habilitation, and rehabilitation. The study, conducted on 41 patients in a randomized controlled study over 16 weeks using miha bodytec medical wellness equipment, adds to a growing body of research that has validated its credibility for more than two decades.

WB-EMS works by sending impulses to muscles via electrodes placed on eight major muscle groups. The impulses target and activate all major muscle groups simultaneously, so the user is engaging more of the body’s muscles than with traditional workouts. At the same time, WB-EMS prompts a more complete muscle contraction, activating more fibers inside each muscle (98% vs. 60%), which creates a greater number of muscle contractions. A WB-EMS training session lasts no more than 20 minutes but delivers the same benefits as two and half hours of conventional strength training, with far less impact on the joints.

The miha bodytec II device was FDA cleared in 2021 for muscular rehabilitation in use with physical medicine when supervised by a licensed practitioner. Top candidates for miha bodytec and WB-EMS include anyone looking to rehab an injury, reduce back pain, increase strength and mobility, improve their golf or tennis game (training with miha bodytec has been proven to increase swing speed) and individuals heading into or recovering from major heart surgery.
