Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, the best-in-class group fitness experience that combines immersive training with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather’s champion techniques, is expanding its Michigan presence by opening a new location in Grand Rapids, which also happens to be Mayweather’s hometown. Co-owned by Zachary LeMieux, this new gym is located at 6670 Kalamazoo Avenue SE Suite A, Grand Rapids, Mi. 49508 and is set to open in early to mid-March. This is the first Mayweather Boxing + Fitness for LeMieux, with plans to open more in the area later.
Zachary LeMieux was practically raised in the franchising industry. In 2004, his parents and business partners opened the first Tropical Smoothie Café in Michigan and then went on to purchase the development rights for Michigan, Northern Ohio and Colorado. Along with Zachary, his brother, and sister-in-law, they led the development of more than 150 locations in those states. After selling the territories back to corporate, LeMieux was looking to use his extensive experience in franchising and apply it to another health-focused concept. Exploring the boutique fitness space, he discovered Mayweather Boxing + Fitness and was attracted to its supportive corporate team and the fact that it’s a young brand. Zachary and his father are already building a strong team to help open this new location, including studio manager, Tony Deakin, who has extensive experience in fitness training.
“I’ve had plenty of firsthand experience with health-focused franchise concepts, so I’m really excited to apply that knowledge to a franchise that relates more to my passion for fitness,” said Zachary LeMieux. “I’ve always been a big believer in being physically active to feel better overall, and I can’t wait to help Grand Rapids residents become the healthiest version of themselves with the help of Floyd’s proven techniques.”
Offering the most effective group fitness experience on the market today, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness utilizes methods developed throughout Floyd Mayweather’s 21-year undefeated boxing career. Floyd Mayweather developed and designed the innovative fitness experience with the perfect combination of boxing, strength and cardio conditioning intervals approachable to any fitness audience. Members can participate in 45 and 60-minute-long classes that use state-of-the-art smart screen technology to project Floyd’s image throughout the duration of the class, making members feel like they are learning from and training alongside the undefeated boxer himself.
“I’m thrilled that Zachary is opening our first location in my hometown,” said Floyd Mayweather. “His undeniable passion for health and fitness combined with his prior experience in franchising business makes him a perfect addition to the Mayweather family. I’m confident that he is the right person to continue my legacy in the Grand Rapids community and I can’t wait for him to open his doors.”
The opening of the Grand Rapids location marks the next step in Mayweather Boxing + Fitness’ expansion throughout the state of Michigan. For more information on Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, please visit https://mayweather.fit/
