SPN obtains media rights for several Fifa events

Sony Pictures Networks India Private Ltd. has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast a bunch of Fifa events. These events which SPN will telecast are Fifa women’s world cup 2019, the Fifa U-20 World Cup Poland 2019, the Fifa U-20 World Cup Poland 2019, the Fifa U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019 and the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2019.

SPN will also have access to Fifa’s archive content in the Indian subcontinent. All the tournaments will be broadcast on television and digitally within the subcontinent on the sports channels of Sony Pictures Network and its premium video on demands (VOD) service SonyLiv.

The deal continues the successful broadcasting partnership between SPN and Fifa. The Russia World Cup and Fifa U-17 World Cup 2017 telecasting broke all the previous records of viewership in India.
