After establishing their dominance on the Kabaddi mat, Patna Pirates is looking ahead to boost up its brand recognition.
In order to attain the very objective of brand recognition, three-time Champion of the Pro Kabaddi, Patna Pirates has hired the services of Meraki Sports and Entertainment. Being a marketing and sponsorship management company, Meraki Sports and entertainment has also worked with the prominent athletes including Dipa Karmarkar, Rohan Bopanna, Devendra Jhajharia and Bhavani Devi who are existing India’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
“We are planning to translate the on the ground success of the team into creating a recall value for brand Patna Pirates and increase the fan following beyond regular kabaddi followers,” said Ajit Ravindran, Managing Director, Meraki Sport and Entertainment.
Patna Pirates has not disclosed the exact amount for the Meraki’s service of brand recognition exercise. The branding exercise will feature popularising of each of the Pirate’s player using their on-field popularity.
One of the representatives of the Patna Kabaddi Team later said,” With three titles in five years, we have established our credentials on the field and we thought the time was right for us to work towards further enhancing our brand and take it to the next level. We look forward to working with Meraki who will help us align our core values to our expressions and thereby defining brand Pirates,”
Apart from this, Meraki will improve fan engagement, and unlocks new avenues for storytelling through both offline and online modems. The Branding exercise is scheduled to land with the launching of a campaign under which team and its players will be promoted and familiarize with the people.
