Martín Perez Guedes becomes the third foreign signing of the season for Delhi Dynamos FC, as the Argentine attacking midfielder joined the club today from Racing Club de Avellaneda.

The Dynamos retained Marcos Tebar, while signed former Bengaluru FC midfielder Xisco Hernández and ex Barcelona B man Diawandou Diagne. And now Coach Josep Gombau will have another lethal weapon in the midfield in the form of Martin Guedes.

The 27-year-old midfielder started his career 2009 with Huracán, who plays in the Torneo Argentino A division. In his two years with the club, he made 83 appearances and scored 12 goals. He then joined Olimpo in the Argentine Primera División, and scored five goals in 21 appearances.

Delhi Dynamos FC would be his first stint outside Argentina and the player is eagerly looking forward to it.

“I am really happy and excited to play in India. The Indian Super League is a fairly competitive League and I am confident that I can create an impact in it with the experience that I have. I can’t wait to join Delhi Dynamos and hoping that together we can win the league this season,” said Martin.

Happy with this addition, head coach of Delhi Dynamos FC Josep Gombau said, “Martin is a versatile player, who can play in three positions. He is someone who has a lot of hunger to come and play with us and has had a very good last season in Argentina. We are very happy to have him here and I am sure he will bring to us a lot.”

Club Director, Rohan Sharma is too is delighted to have Martin on board as he said, “Martin is a player who has excellent pace and someone who’s on the ball movement made him a very attractive signing for us. We are happy to get someone like Martin who is still in his prime come to the club. I’m sure he’s going to be an asset on our wings.”
