We all should be passionate enough to chase and live up our dreams. Determination and hard work are the prime keys to hit and reach your goals in our life. Many people fail to achieve their goals as they give up on them too quickly, but few daredevils stick to it.
Madalsa Sharma, also known as the Barbie Doll by her fans, never gave up on her dreams. She pursued English Literature from Mithibai College and straightly learned acting from Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute. Not only this, she took dance lessons under Ganesh Acharya and Shiamak Davar. Presently she is playing the lead role of Kavya in the popular show Anupamaa, Star Plus.
Madalsa Sharma can be counted as an amazing wonder woman who belongs to the Chakraborty family of Mithun Chakraborty (as her father-in-law) and loving husband Mahaakshay Chakraborty. Despite having a hectic, she beautifully brings a balance between her professional and family life.
In a fitness-centric conversation with Paayel from Sportz Business Magazine, Madalsa Sharma revealed her love for CrossFit, the industry’s journey, the role of fitness in her life, and more.
Q: How do you define fitness in your life, and how much it matters in your life?
For me, fitness is essential. When we feel fit, that’s when our mind, body, and soul are in sync. When we’re fit, we feel active, and there’s so much more we can think of doing in our day to day lives.
Q: Can you share with us your journey in the entertainment industry?
I started my career as an actor at the age of 16. That’s when I bagged my first Telugu film, and the journey has been beautiful thereon. My parents Sheela David Sharma and Subhash Sharma, are in the entertainment industry, so all my growing years, I’ve been exposed to anything and everything related to this field. That’s when my passion began to grow as an actor. May it be The South industry (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada), Punjabi, German, or Bollywood, God has been kind, and I’ve done the kind of films that I always wanted to do as an actor.
Q: How do you manage your family life along with your acting career?
I spend time with my family when I get holidays. Luckily I’ve been able to strike a perfect balance, and my family is incredibly supportive when it comes to my work. That’s truly a blessing for me.
Q: What kind of fitness routine do you follow to look gorgeous on screen?
It’s tough to work out and shoots at the same time. I have been very fond of CrossFit. CrossFit has workouts that are too environment friendly. You don’t necessarily need to hit the gym. One can exercise at home. We have a CrossFit gym at home, so I do CrossFit as and when I get time. Otherwise, I follow intermittent fasting, which works quite well for me.
Q: What kind of fitness training you prefer to suit your different roles on screen?
CrossFit, every time!
Q: Being the popular character of the Anupama TV show, What inspires you towards healthy living?
Healthy living is an absolute necessity for us all. Luckily we live in an era where it’s very easy to cook healthy food and stay healthy as we have all the information we need and all the healthy recipes we can think of online. We must follow a healthy routine for the benefit of our own lives.
Q: What do you have on your bucket list for the upcoming years?
As of now, my focus and efforts are towards “Anupamaa.” I have things in mind that I want to do, and as and when the time is right, I will share it with you all.
