Canadians are not getting enough physical activity. A 2019 ParticipACTION survey found that as little as 16% of Canadian Adults (aged 18 to 79) achieve the national guidelines of 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity per week. These numbers worsened over the course of the pandemic.
This is why Krissy Vann, former Community Host of CTV Morning Live Vancouver, quit her over decade long television career to launch All Things Fitness and Wellness with her partners.
Vann is an avid fitness enthusiast who has competed four times in the Canadian Physique Alliance and is passionate toward using her voice to motivate Canadians to get moving.
“Fitness is a tool that can improve so many facets of our lives. It is a key pillar to preventing a plethora of chronic diseases and improving mental health. Yet, 84% of Canadians aren’t getting enough physical activity. ATFW is on a mission to amplify the voices of fitness and wellness thought leaders to inspire industry innovation and educate the populous on exercise as medicine.”, said ATFW Host and Producer Krissy Vann.
All Things Fitness and Wellness has now launched with a star-studded line up. Upcoming guests on The Celebrity Series include local Tik Tok star Michael Nunziata aka Nunzi, BC Lions Defensive Back Delvin Breaux, and Forbes Top Female Entrepreneur to Watch in 2022 Nadine Dumas. The Industry Series will feature leaders such as Mark Mastrov, often referred to as the Steve Jobs of the Fitness Industry, and the President of the Fitness Industry Council of Canada Sara Hodson.
“We have an exciting roster of upcoming guests that share stories of inspiration and motivation at a time in the world we need it most. I look forward to the conversations this platform will generate and hope to ignite a spark in fellow Canadians and those around the Globe to live a life fit and well.,” added Vann.
All Things Fitness and Wellness will release new episodes on YouTube every Monday and Wednesday. (youtube.com/@atfw)
