French public broadcaster, FTV has partnered with Snapchat to create sports contents. The social media giant will host bunch of prestigious tournaments like Roland Garros and Tour de France.

This move comes after the broadcaster teamed up with French Tennis Federation and Chinese smartphone brand, Oppo to implement 8k HDTV coverage from this year’s French Open for the first time.

Laurent-Eric Le Lay, FTV Sports director said, “This partnership is a part of dynamic of modernization of editorial offers, new formats, new scripts, new media and in the desire to reach new audiences, especially younger generation. FTV producer is continuing its policy of editorial innovation to make its content accessible to all.”
