ESPNcricinfo, a digital cricket-related information platform is teaming up the tech giant, OnePlus.

Through the pact, ESPNcricinfo will provide match score and other live updates to the OnePlus users. Live scores from ESPNcricinfo will powers the cricket card on the minus 1 screen of all models of OnePlus mobiles. By clicking the cricket card, users will be directed to the app or mobile site.

The director of market and business development at ESPN India, Gaurav Thakur said, “Our goal at ESPN is to provide cricket fans with the best and most engaging content in all formats and platforms that appeal to the audiences. This partnership enables us to reach out to the fans through direct feeds on OnePlus mobile screens, which has a wider user base in India, in line with our larger mission- to serve sport fans, anytime and anywhere.”

Vikas Agarwal, the general manager of OnePlus India commented on deal, “The partnership will take us one step further towards realizing our objective to provide our community with the most intuitive smartphone experience, whether it is through path-breaking technology or by bringing user-friendly features to mobile screens. With a vast majority of Indians and one-plus users being avid cricket fans, we are confident that offering engaging cricket content, which ESPNcricinfo is synonymous to, will help us further strengthen the experience we provide our users.”

India is a major player in ESPN’s Asian market. It operates in India with its long-time partner Sony Pictures Network India.
