Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray elected as the vice president of the Western India Football Association, the governing body of the sport in Maharashtra.

Aditya Thackeray, the son of Shiva Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray shared the news on Twitter.

He said, “Today, I was elected unopposed as Vice President of the @WIFAOfficial (Governing Body for football in Maharashtra) at its 70th AGM in Nagpur.”

Aditya is currently president of Mumbai District Football Association. Parth Jindal was also elected unopposed as a WIFA vice president, he informed.

Adtiya tweeted, “Look forward to a fulfilling term for sport development with @Praful_patel ji as the President of WIFA again and all newly elected colleagues.”
