Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Acharya Lokesh Muni unveils brochure for the 4th PEFI National Awards.
The 4th PEFI National Awards is going to felicitate Indian Physical Education Teachers, Coaches, Researcher and Sports Trainers on 25th September 2019 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The Physical Teachers Coaches, Researcher and Sports Trainers will be honored for their commendable work in physical education & sports.
While unveiling the brochure of PEFI National Award, the founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, Acharya Lokesh Muni said, “Organizing this kind of ceremony is a commendable effort by the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI). In order to run a school smoothly, physical education teacher work as the backbone and felicitating PE teachers is one of the good deeds”.
On the same occasion the National Secretary of PEFI, Dr. Piyush Jain said, “ in the wake of honoring country’s excellent Physical Education Teachers, Coaches, Researchers and Sports Trainers, the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) stared giving this National Award in 2016 and for the last 3 years the award has been given to apt ones. This year we have aligned our National Award ceremony with Sports India which is scheduled to be held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 25th September 2019.”
Applications are invited from across the country for the 4th PEFI National Awards and Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) has marked 05th September as the last date to send application in different categories. The National Award is given on the name of specific teachers from the field of education which majorly includes like Dr. Ajmer Singh Award, Dr. P M Josheph Award, Dr. G P Gautam, Dr. M Robenson and V K Pahuja.
This Time at the 4th PEFI National Awards, the awards will be given to the best physical teachers, best coach, best researcher, and a lifetime achievement award in the field of physical education and sports sector. In the Institutions section, best school, college & universities will be conferred awards for their active participation in the physical education and sports section.
The organizing secretary of PEFI National Awards Committee, Dr. Chetan Kumar Said, “Physical Education Foundation of India has been working earnestly for the last 11 years to promote physical education and sports in India. For the selection of this award, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Dr. A K Uppal, former Dean of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in which Dronacharya Awardee Dr. AK Bansal, Arjuna Awardee Mr. Yashpal Solanki, former Joint Secretary (Sports) of Association of Indian Universities Dr. Gurdeep Singh, UNI Sports Journalist Rajesh Rai, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Professor Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Dr. Meera Sood and Meenakshi Pahuja from Delhi University and Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Shrotiya from Bimtech Greater Noida are included’’.
