Gillette ends brand endorsement deal with Hardik Pandya

It seems the spree of problematic is not going to cease to the Indian all-rounder Cricketer Hardik Pandya after passing sexist comments on television show Koffee With Karan.

In A recent bash to the cricket, the Boston, Massachusetts based multinational personal care brand Gillete has suspended their association with Pandya which started last year in October for their Gillette MACH 3 product.

“Hardik Pandya’s recent comments do not reflect the values of Gillette. We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on further course of action,” national daily Times of India has quoted a Gillette India spokesperson as saying.

It should be noted, Pandya and KL Rahul have uttered sexist comments while appearing on the controversial Koffee with Karan episode. Their comments have faced acute criticism from across all quarters, leading the Board of Cricket in India suspension pending an enquiry into the matter.

It was just six month before in October last year, Gillette has launched specially designed MACH 3 Start along with Pandya targeting the young customers.

It might be possible takin a cue from Gillette, other brands will also try to end their association with Pandya, who endorses seven brands including D:FY, Star India, Gulf Oil and Sin Denims.
