Brookdale Senior Living facilities countrywide are taking part in a national group exercise experience in honor of National Senior Health and Fitness Day. On May 28 at 10 a.m., residents, relatives, and team members nationwide will come together for Brookdale’s renowned B-Fit workout. Brookdale’s distinctive well-being program, B-Fit, provides seniors with accessible, fun physical activities that promote connection and general health. Based on gerontological research, the program aims to improve quality of life by promoting exercise, enjoyment, and community.

“Movement is medicine—especially when it’s shared,” stated Brookdale Gerontologist Christy Phillips. “National B-Fit Day is a chance for our residents to move with joy, build connections, and celebrate their strength as a community.”

Brookdale’s dedication to creative, resident-centered care and engagement is demonstrated by the first National B-Fit Day. Brookdale, which has 647 locations nationwide, is still in the forefront of providing comprehensive senior living experiences. The program’s objective is to give participants the chance to engage in regular physical exercise that enhances their functional abilities and general well-being.

“At Brookdale, we know that staying active supports not only physical health, but emotional and cognitive well-being too,” stated Brookdale Senior Vice-President of Resident and Family Engagement Sara Terry. “National B-Fit Day brings our mission to life—with our residents across the country engaging in B-Fit to recognize National Senior Health and Fitness Day.”
