A new collaboration between LALIGA and the U.S. Soccer Foundation aims to further use soccer as a vehicle for positive change.
Since its founding in 1994, the U.S. Soccer Foundation has dedicated more than thirty years to utilizing the Beautiful Game to help kids in underserved communities realize their full potential, enhance their well-being, and lead healthier lives. The two organizations can now intensify and broaden their efforts in collaboration with LALIGA, especially in front of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
“We are on a mission to provide well over 1 million children each year in under-resourced communities with access to the many benefits of our game and install 1,000 mini-pitches in the communities where they live and go to school,” stated Ed Foster-Simeon, U.S. Soccer Foundation President & CEO. “Our partnership with LALIGA expands these opportunities to positively impact youth—especially as excitement builds for next summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
During the 2025–2026 LALIGA season, LALIGA will assist U.S. Soccer Foundation community initiatives and fundraising efforts at El Partidazo fan-focused events nationwide as part of the partnership.
Additionally, in the spring of 2026, LALIGA will sponsor the Unity Cup.
“Soccer isn’t just a sport—it’s a platform and tool to create opportunity and enact positive change, especially in under-resourced communities,” stated Boris Gartner, LALIGA North America Chairman and Relevent President & Partner. “Working in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, who are spearheading life-changing initiatives across the country, is a testament to the long-term investment LALIGA has made in making the Beautiful Game more accessible to millions of Americans across the country.”
