The IPL auction, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16, will include 350 cricket players, including 240 Indians.
There are 1,390 players signed up for the auction. The organizers lowered the number of players to 1,005 before ultimately selecting 350 to compete for the 77 spots—31 of which were for foreign players—across the 10 teams for the 19th season of the largest T20 competition in the world.
The pool, which includes 14 untapped international players and 224 uncapped Indian players, gives this year’s auction roster a lot of depth and new potential.
Twenty-seven domestic uncapped players have set their base price at ₹30 lakh, the lowest of the eight available brackets, while forty cricket players have chosen the highest base price category of ₹2 crore out of the 350 names.
Forty players have chosen to participate in the auction with the highest reserve price of ₹2 crore.
