Many people suffer from face fat, which can make the face appear rounder and less defined. It is commonly manifested as double chins and swollen cheeks. However, there are several ways to tone your face and give yourself a more defined appearance, even though losing weight overall is crucial. Yoga can help you lose weight, but it must be combined with proper diet and exercise. These five yoga poses can help you lose fat on your face.

Stretch Your Neck

A simple yet effective workout that tones the muscles surrounding your neck and jawline and helps to reduce double chins and sagging skin is the neck stretch.

How to carry it out

With your back straight, sit (or stand). Bring your chin to your right shoulder as you slowly tilt your head to the right. Move your head toward your left shoulder while gently bending it back. Release the breath and go back to where you were before. Do this three times in a clockwise direction and three times in an anticlockwise direction.

This workout tightens muscles, increases blood flow to the face and neck, and helps avoid double chins and drooping skin in the vicinity.

Pose of the Pout

The muscles surrounding your mouth and cheeks are worked when you pout your lips, which tones your face and helps you lose fat.

How to go about it: Press your mouth shut and squeeze a little. To make a pout, draw your cheeks in. (as in when shooting a picture). Feel the stretch on your face by opening your eyes wide. For 10 to 30 seconds, maintain this posture. Do this three times.

This pose helps to raise the face for a more defined jawline, stretch the cheek muscles, and increase blood circulation.

Locked Tongue

By stretching the tongue and neck muscles, this pose, also known as Jivha Bandha, helps lessen the buildup of fat in the chin and neck region.

How to accomplish it: Sit up straight or in the kneeling position known as Vajrasana. To create a vacuum, forcefully press your tongue on the roof of your mouth. While holding your tongue in place, slowly open your mouth. Hold the stretch for 20 seconds while tilting your head upward. Open your mouth and shut it. Do it three times.

This exercise helps tone the jawline and minimize fat beneath the chin by simultaneously stretching the mouth and neck muscles.

The Lion Pose

The Lion Pose, sometimes referred to as Simha Mudra, is an enjoyable and efficient technique to increase blood flow and tone facial muscles.

How to go about it: Take a comfortable seat with a straight back. Bring your chin to your chest, open your lips wide, and stick your tongue out as far as you can. Rumble like a lion and make a “ha” sound when you Open your eyes wide and maintain this posture for a few seconds.or 15–20 seconds. Repeat three times while relaxing.

Your face will glow from this stance, which tightens facial muscles, minimizes wrinkles, and increases blood flow to the head, neck, and face.

The Cobra Pose

Although the Cobra Pose, also known as Bhujangasana, is primarily a back and spine exercise, it also helps tone and stretch the neck muscles, which can help decrease fat around the face and double chin.

How to go about it: With your legs outstretched, lie flat on your stomach. Flatten your palms on the ground close to your chest. With a deep breath, raise your upper body slowly off the ground while arching your back like a cobra. Look up a little and keep your shoulders loose. Maintain the position for 20 to 30 seconds. Return to your starting position and repeat twice.

In addition to stretching the neck muscles and toning the jawline and chin area, this pose also increases blood circulation.
