The Show Place Arena at Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, will host the 67th Annual Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), presented by MARS Equestrian™, from October 20–26, 2025.
This year’s event, which is regarded as one of the top equestrian competitions in North America, has a stellar lineup of top-tier horses and riders in addition to a week full of family-friendly fun, entertainment, and competitive competition.

Highlights of the event include:
WIHS’s Military Appreciation Opening Night is Thursday, October 23, at 7:00 PM. The evening program begins with the $63,000 Stars and Stripes Speed Stake and the $63,000 International Jumper Welcome Stake, which honor the U.S. Armed Forces. In order to benefit the Tragedy Assistance program for Survivors (TAPS), which aids families dealing with the loss of military or veteran loved ones, each horse-and-rider team will jump an obstacle with an American flag theme as part of the Speed Stake. The Washington Nationals’ Racing Presidents, WIHS’s Major, and M-NCPPC’s Fun will compete in a funny mascot race in between jumping classes. First responders and members of the armed forces are entitled to 50% off tickets at the box office or military ticket offices.
Walkenbach Equestrian presents MARS Barn Night on Friday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. Experience an exciting evening as international jumpers compete in the $32,000 Accumulator Costume Class, which is renowned for its lively, fast-paced fun, and the $63,000 Welcome Stake. The “Wild for WIHS” theme will inspire the riders’ imaginative outfits, which will replace their regular show gear. Sylvia Zerbini’s Grande Liberté and the WIHS Shetland Steeplechase Races will add to the excitement.
World Cup Night: October 25, Saturday, 6:30 p.m. The grand finale of WIHS is highlighted by the prestigious $340,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Washington CSI5-W for the President’s Cup*, presented by the Maryland Sports Commission. It features 13 Olympians from 13 different countries and nine of the top 25 riders in the world, including World No. 1 and U.S. Olympic silver medalist Kent Farrington. The WIHS Equitation Finals champion, who represents the best junior rider in the country, will also be announced that evening.
Delta Air Lines presents WIHS Kids’ Day on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crafts, pony rides, a grooming station, face painting, a horseless horse show, and a pony kissing booth are just a few of the entertaining and instructive activities for kids that will be offered at this free event.
