The No-Egg Egg, Cracked, the top plant-based egg product in the UK that is now being made in America, has announced that it has obtained distribution in its first chain of supermarket stores in the United States.

Crackd is currently sold at Jewel-Osco markets in Chicago and Albertsons, Randalls, and Tom Thumb in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and other major Texas cities. Six out of the twelve major metropolitan areas in the United States are represented by these cities.

Jonathan Traub, President of Plant Heads Inc. U.S. states, “We are excited to bring Crackd to U.S. consumers, especially as they navigate the wildly fluctuating availability and pricing of animal eggs.” Discussing what sets Crackd apart from competitors Traub states, “When they try Crackd, consumers will find superior taste and texture in a healthier, all natural, freezable, microwaveable version of America’s breakfast staple.”

Other features of Crackd, The No-Egg Egg include:

  • All natural/Non-GMO
  • Zero cholesterol
  • Free from 14 MSA allergens
  • Lower in calories and fat than eggs
  • The versatility to be used in cooking and baking

Although they don’t want to give up flavor, half of Americans say they are actively trying to eat healthier. Enter Crackd, created by a Michelin-winning chef to be the ideal egg substitute for pancakes, omelets, scrambles, burritos, and breakfast sandwiches and burritos that can be eaten on the run, as well as for baking and cooking.

The recent, well-reported difficulties the egg industry has had this year are directly responsible for the increase in sales of plant-based eggs in 2025. In light of recent occurrences, consumers are worried about the availability of eggs (44%), their pricing (59%), and the impact of avian flu on egg safety (31%).

Each 12-ounce pourable packet has an MRP of $6.99 to $7.49 and holds the equivalent of seven eggs.
