The annual Pulse of the Nation’s Nurses Survey has been launched, according to the American Nurses Foundation (ANF). The Pulse on the Nation’s Nurses Survey Series, now in its 19th edition, collects vital information that aids ANF in comprehending the challenges faced by nurses and directs advocacy, investment, and research initiatives that promote the nursing profession.

“Every day, nurses tell us what they are experiencing on the front lines of care, and we take those insights seriously,” stated Graig R. Eastin, Executive Director of the American Nurses Foundation. “This survey is one of the most important tools we have for understanding what nurses need in order to feel supported, respected, and empowered. When nurses share their experiences, they help drive the changes that strengthen the profession and improve health outcomes in every community.”

To get nurses’ real-time input and offer the greatest assistance during public health emergencies and other workplace difficulties, the Pulse on the Nation’s Nurses Survey Series was initially created at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the results of the study have influenced national discussions about practice conditions, staffing, workforce well-being, and long-term plans that promote a robust and long-lasting nursing workforce.

The deadline for the 2025 Pulse of the Nation’s Nurses Survey is December 31, 2025.
